Lea Francisca Meny Is a moving image artist currently based in Lisbon With 5 years of experience in all facets of film and photography production, from conceptual development through final delivery. Proficient in behind-the-scenes positions and all related equipment, as well as acting and performing in front of the camera. Well-versed communication skills and cultural knowledge through moving around several European cities such as London, Vienna, Madrid and Berlin. Innovative producer, editor, and storyteller with the understanding of turning an idea into a concept from which an inspiring work is produced.
BIOGRAPHY
January - July 2024
Student at Maumaus Escola de Artes Visuais in Lisbon. Participant of the Independent Studies Programme with a scholarship from Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design.
After her bachelor studies and first experiences in the art field Lea Meny recognised creative exchange and critical discussion of clear importance within the progress of creating. Within the ISP programme, texts and essays by authors from different fields and works by artists and filmmakers are studied and discussed in terms of their general significance, as well as their specific relevance to the discourse of the participants in the programme.

Film Maker and Exhibition Curator for Medical Science Cluster of Excellence PMI in Kiel, Germany.
Over the time frame of two years Lea Meny was in charge of the production of a film about an honorary doctorate ceremony for a medical science cluster located in Kiel, Germany. The curation and organisation of an exhibition of creative works developed throughout the cooperation at Muthesius University and Science Day in Kiel were also managed by her. She contributed to the exhibitions with multiple video installations.
